Really enjoyed the tasting menu for a girls night for my sister’s bridal party. Wine pairings went perfectly. Even our picky & less adventurous eaters enjoyed their experience. Will be returning the next time I come visit again in Jackson. A must try
So..I’m a bit late on this review since we took this date evening out in October of last year but the food’s so good I had to post it when I was looking back through my photos and found it. I have to admit that this review is the one that teaches me always write down things I order if I love em and take a pic. I can’t remember the names of our seasonal drink choices or main courses, but I can tell you that my wife had a type of redfish almondine and I had lamb carbonara. That plate presentation was straight , as shown, and I can’t say enough about the culinary beauty on display. Even our sides, shiitake mushrooms and Brussels sprout respectively, were plated and prepared with professional excellence. All in all, a 10/10 experience that we look forward to enjoying again. P.S. They also host the Good Bar in the BTC outside seating area so if you want to relax outside after a meal they’ve got that covered too.
Cute eclectic bistro with attention to ALL the details. Stopped for brunch on our way through Jackson and will gladly make a detour to come again. The French omelette with oysters was divine. Perfectly executed with a gorgeous, fresh hollandaise. The pork belly in the Eggs Cochon was very, very good, though the dish was sweeter than I expected. Cocktails were well-made and served timely. The Bloody Mary was excellent!
Maggie and team gave us great service a couple of weeks ago when our work team dinner went from 6to 7 people. They didn’t miss a beat accommodating the extra person and were so patient with our picky group. Everyone enjoyed their meal and raved about the beautiful space and kind service. My meal was delicious and don’t skip dessert- everything was lovely!
The severs are SO NICE!! Like when ur done with the food they for real package ur leftovers FOR YOU?!? Fire… plus they are super nice and funny for real shoutout to our waiters for real they the goat, now the food let me TELL YOUU okay? That aoli is TO DIE FOR Gyat… I will marry that aoli the fries!? FIRE and the steak?! AMAZING FOR REAL thougb I wish I got the burger I know their burgers are FIRE
Today we went to Elvie's over in Belhaven. Usually lunch is pretty low key, but today it was hopping since everyone was off work. Food was fresh and super tasty, as always. We both got the Chopped Salad - she ordered a side of duck fat fries and I ordered a side of toast. The toast came with this delightful little tin of apple butter. Chopped Salad grilled chicken / candy pecans / feta / red onion / creamy dill green goddess
Absolutely loved this spot. Perfect to get Brunch with friends or by yourself like I did today. The servers were phenomenal and knew exactly when to come ask how I was or needed anything! I ordered the 'Omelette Elveretta' and orange juice (freshly squeezed! 10/10 would recommend and I'm coming back to try other dishes! Best part, once you pay they gift you the cutest postcard from them! I'm keeping it
Elvie's is a great hidden gem in the fact that I feel it is a very much unknown restaurant in the Jackson area. I find it to be a great restaurant that serves mid range to high end fare at prices that are more midrange cost. Their breakfast food will definitely catch your nose and your mouth and drag you right in. They also have great lunch options also. The service is also very good and was adequately fast. The atmosphere is very nice also. Definitely go in and check them out if you have a chance.
